The Appalachian National Scenic Trail not only preserves natural landscapes, but it also holds space for sites of cultural significance.
Join the Berkshire Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club on Tuesday, July 17th, from 9 a.m to 4 p.m as they repair a deteriorating boardwalk near Shays’ Rebellion Monument.
The group will be meeting at the Shays’ Rebellion Monument parking lot in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Be sure to wear sturdy boots, long pants, and work gloves. Also, bring your own lunch, personal snacks, a rain jacket, insect repellent, and plenty of water.
