Grace Anderson ATC Next Generation Advisory Council

Position: Next Generation Advisory Council Member

Grace grew up in Staunton, Virginia – after discovering the outdoors on a college spring break trip with the Student Conservation Association to Joshua Tree National Park, she was hooked. Since then she’s been chasing wide-open spaces – she’s lived in Wyoming, North Dakota and New Hampshire and is currently calling San Francisco her home. She’s worked in administrative roles in outdoor non-profits as well as instructing 2 – 24-day trips with middle and high school students in different parts of the country. When she’s not working with outdoor contracts or doing personal trips, she can be found reading, planning a party or thinking of the next great adventure. She’s passionately committed to engaging more diverse populations to the outdoors and advocating for the protection and creation of more urban green spaces. She’s looking forward to working with the Appalachian Trail to develop innovative ways to connect more people to the trail that weaves along the East Coast and so closely to her hometown!
